Hotel Details

The workshop hotel will be the Sheraton Grand Pune, where we have booked a group of 50 rooms for the dates February 5-12. Workshop participants should contact the hotel directly for reservations, at +91 20 6641 1002 or at the website http://www.sheratongrandpunebundgarden.com .

The room rates are INR 6500/- plus taxes ("Classic-1") or INR 5750/- plus taxes per night for single occupancy, with an additional charge of INR 750/- plus taxes for double occupancy.

The above rates include the following:
1) A buffet breakfast.
2) 24 hours high speed internet.
3) Local airport transfers.
4) Transfers to and from NCRA.

Travel Details

The Sheraton Hotel will arrange a pick-up from Pune airport (with no charge) and from Mumbai airport (with an additional charge). This can be arranged either at the time of booking (if you have your flight information) or later, by e-mailing the Sheraton Hotel directly.

The Sheraton will charge INR 9000/- for a pick-up at, or a drop-off to, Mumbai airport. The cost would be the same if the pick-up vehicle (a Toyota Innova) is shared by multiple people (3 people should be able to ride very comfortably in an Innova).

Note that the cost for the hotel taxi is the same for shared and individual rides; we hence recommend sharing with others that arrive at around the same time as you. In case you would like to share a hotel taxi but have no companions arriving at similar times, please send us a mail to phiscc@ncra.tifr.res.in with your arrival details and we'll try to find companions for you.

Besides the hotel pickup service, the following two travel agencies may also be used for shuttle transport between Mumbai airport and NCRA, Pune.
